Detailed Information

Opened in 1912 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s reign, Victoria Park is one of the jewels in Bideford’s crown; any Bidefordian will tell you how lucky we are to have a park of this calibre in the heart of the town. The beautifully maintained park is surrounded by carefully tended flowerbeds and history. Within the park is a fort, surrounded by nine cannons which are believed to have been captured by the Spanish Armada, now primarily used for children to play out their games.
